WEIGH IN: Learn Weight and Size Limits for Your Packages

It is important to know the maximum shipping size of your shipments to avoid undue charges for over-sized packages. Below are the weight and size limits for individual packages, not the entire shipment. So whether you have 1 package or 15 packages these guidelines are for each individual package within the shipment.
Purolator
- Express shipments travelling via Purolator’s air network (i.e. Toronto to British Columbia Express NOT Toronto to Montreal Express) whether in whole or part:
- Maximum length 96 inches (244 cm).
- Maximum size (length and girth combined) 144 inches (266 cm).
- Ground shipments and Purolator Express shipments NOT travelling via Purolator’s Air Service (i.e. Toronto to Montreal Express):
- Maximum length 120 inches (305 cm).
- Maximum size (length and girth combined) 216 inches (549 cm).
UPS
- Individual packages can be up to 150 lbs (68 kg).
- Individual packages that weigh more than 70 lbs (31.5 kg) will require special heavy packaging labels and an extra fee will apply. This extra fee will be considered special handling and be charged after the shipment order is placed.
- Individual packages can be up to 165 inches (419 cm) in length and girth [(2 x width) + (2 x height)] combined, however, a large package surcharge may be applied when its length and girth exceeds 130 inches (330 cm) but does not exceed the maximum size of 165 inches (419 cm).
- Individual packages can be up to 108 inches (270 cm) in length.
- Individual packages with a large size-to-weight ratio will require special pricing and dimensional weight calculations.
- Any Individual packages that exceed weight and size limits are subject to an over limits charge.
FedEx
- Individual packages can weigh up to 100 lbs (45 kg).
- The maximum girth of an individual package can be 300 inches (762 cm) and is calculated by the length + [(2 x width) + (2 x height)].
Canpar
- Individual packages can weigh up to 75 lbs (34 kg).
- The maximum combined length and girth of an individual package can be 130 inches (330 cm). Length is defined as the longest side of the package. Girth is the distance around the two smallest sides of a package or object. Girth = 2(W+H)
DHL
- Express Worldwide Service
- Maximum dimensions (LxWxH) 120 x 80 x 80 cm (47.2 x 31.5 x 31.5 inches).
- Maximum weight 150 lbs (70 kg)
- Express 12 :00 Service
- Maximum dimensions (LxWxH) 120 x 80 x 80 cm (47.2 x 31.5 x 31.5 inches).
- Maximum weight 150 lbs (70 kg)
- Express 9 :00 (10 :30) Service
- Maximum dimensions (LxWxH) 120 x 80 x 80 cm (47.2 x 31.5 x 31.5 inches).
- Maximum weight 66 lbs (30 kg)
